GAMES A GOOD OPTION!!!

At the beginning, I was not sure of using games at school, but I decided to do it because I thought it was going to be funny. I decided to play the hot potato with them. At the beginning, they did not understand that much, but I told them the instructions again for them to understand. When they understood, we started the game. It was funny, we really enjoy it. I thought it was going to be too much noise, but it was not. Something really important was that I told them that we were not going to play the game just to have fun; I told them that we were also going to learn. If I have the opportunity to do it again, I will do it……

MORE PRACTICES!!!

I taught the use of can, but my students were a little confused because they did no know that we can use “can” to express our abilities. Therefore, I decided to bring some practices for them to practice. It was nice because they understood quickly . I tried to design the activities according to their level. At the end , I asked them to write  and answer the next sentences with their own information.
What can your mother do?
What can your father do?
What can your best friend do?
What can you do?
At the end they told me that the use of can was really important to express the abilities.

                  LEARNING TO INTRODUCE OURSELVES

The first time I went to teach in junior high school, the teacher told me to introduce myself and then to make the students to introduce themselves. I introduce myself first and then they started to introduce themselves. What called my attention was that they were not afraid of being in front of everybody. There was a girl that impressed me because her pronunciation was very good. Moreover, they asked me to tell them their mistakes, so I had to write them while they were talking. At the end, I told them their mistakes. I could realize that their level of English is not that bad; however, it does not mean that they do not have to improve.
