MIND MAP: A GOOD WAY TO TEACH
Since the teacher told me that a good teacher does not use charts, I tried to use a mind map last class. The topic I was going to develop was simple present tense, but I had to teach the daily activities first .I decided to use a mind map to teach the daily activities, and I used the next images:
![]() | |
| TAKE A SHOWER |
![]() |
| BRUSH MY TEETH |
![]() | |
| CLEANTHE HOUSE |
![]() |
| WASH THE DISHES |
![]() |
| DO THE LAUNDRY |
![]() |
| EAT BREAKFAST |
![]() |
| TAKE OUT THE GARBAGE |
![]() |
| GET DRESSED |
![]() |
| GET UP |
![]() |
| WATCH TV |
These images helped to develop a nice mind map. I could realize that my estudents were interested in the class, and they also learned the daily activities quickly. Many people say that we learn faster when we associate words with images, and I think that's true. My students got interested in the class, and they also adquired the the names of the daily activities quickly. Now, I know that this is a good way to teach new topics. I will try to use a mind map again, but I won't use it every class because my students can get bored.
